Video Conferencing Tips & Etiquette -

As we are have moved all our coaching and training to video conferencing we have put together some video conferencing quick tips and etiquette.
VIDEO CONFERENCING TIPS
1. Log on 5-10 mins early to check your technology and familiarise yourself
2. If this is your first time on a video call, test your camera and microphone (webcammictest.com)
3. Find a quiet space which will minimise distractions such as: spare room, cupboard, garden shed, car
4. Check your wi-fi signal strength or if possible connect direct to the router with an ethernet cable
5. Ideally one person per device
6. Use headphones (preferably with microphone)
7. If on camera, wear appropriate clothing (at least on the top half 😊)
8. Check your lighting and camera angle. Be mindful of your background
9. Mute yourself when not speaking
10. Look directly into the camera when speaking; use micro-pauses
11. Use the software’s hand signals and message/chat function to minimise interruptions
12. Avoid the temptation to type an email, text, etc
13. Relax and Be Yourself!
